​Thank you for your participation in Saturday's tournament at the Pebble Creek Golf Club.

 

Competition is heating up as we enter the 3rd tournament of the season. Several players carded sub-70 net scores but the best performance came from 2 players who battled it out from start to finish. Dr. Joe Dugenio and Jojo "the Idol" Valerio played brilliantly posting a minus 6 (65) to finish tied for first place. Applying our tie-break rules, Dr. Joe prevailed with his back-9 net (32) vs Jojo's net (34).  Utterly astounding games from Dr. Joe and Jojo!

 

Congratulations to Dr. Joe on winning the 3rd Tournament!

 

With this win, Dr. Joe overtook number 1 ranking in the FedEx competition. He edged out former leader El Presidente Elmer by a few points.  Top 5 FedEx Leaderboard now stands as follows:

Elmer Sadiangabay = 140

Jay Talag                  = 134.5

Ralph Rana              = 106.8

Adonis Buelo          = 94.5

 

Low Gross for the tournament belongs to Jojo who posted 80 for the round. He catapulted from 19th place to now 6th in FedEx ranking, trailing Adonis by a mere 4.5 points.

It maybe early in the season but the competition is clearly shaping up.  Next opportunity for a strong camaraderie but tight competition is on Saturday - May 23 at the Concordia Golf Club.
