Thank you again for your participation in Saturday's 10th tournament at Bey Lea Golf Club. Injecting another excitement to the game, Rene (our game's architect par excellence) introduced "a la LIV" format where players are grouped into teams of 3 and competed based on each team's combined net scores. Another element of excitement was increasing the challenge by playing from the Gold Tee which carries a total yardage of 6300. It was a beautiful day on Saturday and El Presidente Elmer declared it as a "glorious day to play golf". 

 

Indeed, it was Glorious, it was Golden, it was Great, rightfully great for Dada "Da Great" to claim the victory.  Coming from behind, Dada successfully caught up with the leaders by masterfully carding an incredible back-9 net score of 30. With the total net of 66, Dada edged out Rommel Tamayo by a single stroke en route to his first win of 2026 season. Three other players had brilliant rounds: Rommel Tamayo (67), Ralph Rana (69), Jason Pawling (69). But in the end, it was a great day for Dada "Da Great".

With this win, Dada has taken over number #1 ranking in our FedEx competition. Top-5 leaders are as follows:

​We are now entering the last stage of our tournament season with the next 3 games as FAGOC's Majors.  It starts on Saturday - Aug 29 at Pebble Creek for our Masters Tournament. That will be followed by our Club's Championship Games (1 & 2) at the Eagle Ridge Golf Club on Sep 12 and Sep 19 respectively.  Please note that FedEx points awarded for the majors are doubled. Exciting!
